Tyrol, a captivating region in the heart of the Austrian Alps, enchants with its stunning mountain vistas, rich traditions, and outdoor adventures, from world-class skiing and hiking to quaint villages and historic castles.

For our 2023 Christmas and New Year's holidays, we choose to spend some time in the mountains, playing with snow and enjoying some relaxing time together.
To achieve such goal, we booked two nights in the "Hotel Tirol Fiss", in the homonimous village in the Landeck district.
That's what we did during these holidays.

Fiss is a small village, famous for the surrounding mountains, where people can enjoy winter activies such as skiing, exploring, and spending time playing with the snow.
We choose to try the sledges, renting them in a shop nearby the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis complex.
Taking the cable car from the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis to the Schönjochbahn I, you are brought up at an altitude of 1.900 meters in about seven minutes, where you can find a reserved slide lane in which you can use your sledges.
The descent takes about 20-30 minutes using the sledge, and during the path you can find two restaurants where to eat a hot plate.
We decided to try our first Schnitzel in the Kuh Alm, where we found an amazing service and quality products.
